Huge Inauguration Image!

David Bergman took a 1,474 megapixel 2 gigabyte image during President Obama's inaugural address. It is ginormous! I've been having so much fun zooming in and looking at everyone's reactions. I've found several notable names, some sleepers (they were just resting their eyes or warming up, I'm sure), texters and people talking on the phone! In addition to the leaders and special guests seated behind the President, I saw Annie Leibovitz, Denzel Washington, Angela Bassett and Oprah Winfrey (really Oprah's legs sitting next to Gayle King) in the crowd in front. This is what the whole image looks like, and you can see the original and zoom in on David's blog. Don't forget to zoom in several times to get up close and personal. Have fun!

Valentine Mini Sessions

It's almost time for Valentine's Day! Once again, we are offering mini sessions, but this time, they are here to stay!

Need a few portraits for holiday cards? Want to document how quickly your baby grows the first year? Or to mark a half birthday or milestone?

Mini sessions are just the ticket! They are 30 minutes in duration at your choice of location. Mini sessions are $50 and include a protected online gallery of 10-15 images posted for 14 days.

Here are our Valentine's Day cards for 2009. You can choose 4 x 5 press printed cards with envelopes or photographic prints in the wallet or 3.5 x 5 size.

Snow Day!

Can you really call it a snow day when you can still see the grass? Either way, we had a fun day. My guys were out today anyway for a snow makeup day (ha!), so we started off the day with some waffles and pancakes.

Then we went outside to brave the elements.

If you can't play in the snow, then at least you can eat it. Ahh, the power of positive thinking.

Back inside to warm up, have hot cocoa, read to the dog, and of course, watch the inauguration. What a great day!

I love this little girl! Really, I do...she's my cousin. Well, second cousin-in-law, technically, but still. I rarely get to photograph family since we are all so spread out, so I jump on the chance when it comes around. This is my favorite image from our session. Miss K was a consummate professional - easy peasy lemon squeezy. Thanks, C & K!
